Social application sApp What is a sApp: the Social Scrooge protocol implements the possibility of installing social applications in your social spaces, created on scrooge.social. These are application modules that play the role of real social applications within their own social spaces that any user can install and use. Hence the name social Application and therefore the acronym sApp. What functions are foreseen by the sApps: it is difficult to predict all the functions that will be implemented with the sApps, however we can refer to the applications already developed and ready for use such as Questions and Answers, Files, Linklist, Tasks, External Calendar, Share content, Custom pages, Wiki, Calendar, Polls, Gallery, many others are coming and others in development. sApps require additional costs: given that the main support of the Social Scrooge protocol is the Scrooge WTF token ($SCROOGE), for the majority of sApps there are no additional costs, therefore remaining free such as the activation of accounts and the creation of social spaces, however, we foresee the addition of sApps which provide a sustainable additional cost in both fiat and crypto such as space shopping, account verification and others that we will announce in the dedicated social space (scrooge-premium). How we can inform ourselves about the developments of the protocol and the sApps: by following our social spaces on scrooge but also on other social networks we will release related information. There are privileges for holders of the $SCROOGE token in the social network: for the moment there is no difference in privilege between holders of the Scrooge WTF token and non-holders beyond the possibility of making payments in the protocol with the same $SCROOGE token.
Brief guide The Social Scrooge protocol, a social network (community), supports public conversation for a better personal and corporate socialization experience. Therefore it has public spaces (Social space), which means that the content published on Scrooge is mainly accessible from the public spaces of the community. All users can create their own public spaces via the top menu, they can change the access privileges from the default privileges that the protocol assigns to each new space.   Security on Scrooge Posts, or more generally, content published in your spaces will also be publicly visible in the community dashboard (the Home), while posts (or content, more generally) will be visible to everyone in the user's profile, in the dashboard (home) they will be visible only to the author. The security settings of your user account (user space) are autonomous and separate from those of the social spaces, accessible via the "my profile>edit account" menu and allow you to assign or deny various privileges to the various groups (Your friends, Other users, Unregistered users) such as the ability to create posts, comments and more. The user can decide whether to make published posts private, in which case they will be visible only to friends, in the profile and only to members of the spaces, in their spaces. Also in the dashboard (home) they will be visible only to members of the spaces or friends. It is possible to create spaces in which the publication of content is not reserved only to the author but to members and, or to everyone. You can do this by changing the privileges from the settings menu of the spaces (security option). This means that you can create your own workspaces by limiting access to all features (including content visibility) only to members who, upon their request (or your invitation), agree to join the Social Workspace. With the same criteria you can create public conversation spaces limited to a specific group of people or you can make everything public for everyone. The contents published in public posts are freely downloadable. The contents of non-public posts are not visible and therefore not downloadable, however they can be accessed and therefore downloadable, only by specific users or groups of them, established by the authors of the posts. Users who are authors of multiple spaces can also move content between spaces easily and intuitively. Example: from the 'settings>security>permissions' menu you can grant or deny the ability to create posts, comments and more to the various user groups (owner, administrator, moderator, members, user). By default, only owners and the administrator can create posts. Through the 'settings>members' menu you can move a member between the different groups (administrators, moderators, members) and you can also transfer ownership of the space to an administrator through the 'settings>members>owner' menu. The security settings of your user account (user space) are autonomous and separate from those of the social spaces, accessible through the 'my profile>edit account' menu and allow you to assign or deny the various groups (Your friends, Other users, Unregistered users) various privileges such as the ability to create posts, comments and more.   Posts about Scrooge Publishing a post is very simple wherever you are (dashboard, home, spaces, profile): just click in the white space on "What are you thinking about?" and start producing the content. Scrooge social offers a solution for inserting files into posts, complete and with all the possible options: there are two options for inserting files (uploads button), with different functions, in fact, The main "uploads" button allows you to upload photos in small mode, therefore suitable for inserting photo galleries (up to 10 photos), it also allows you to upload videos, short videos, audio files (audio compilations) in stream mode in the post, as well as including other functions for uploading Text files, Spreadsheets, Presentations, PDF Forms, Draw.io Documents and other files. The secondary upload button (contained in the markdown editor) allows you to create text files, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF forms, draw.io documents and other extensions such as XLM, Log, (some of these features are accessible only to premium users). In addition to the same upload options as in the previous point, it allows you to attach any type of file to the post, differing from the main upload button, because it attaches images to the post in large mode, within the context of the post and with the ability to change their size, title and description of the image, also it does not insert audio / video files (including short videos) in streaming mode but attaches them to the post in attachment mode. You can also simply copy the image from the source and paste it in place (for example, using Ctrl+V, Ctrl+C or even ⌘ + C, ⌘ + V for Mac).   Social Application (sApp) With Social Work applications (sApp Work) it is possible to create files with Office (presentations, excel, word), draw files, text files, logs, xml, attach multimedia messages (audio, video, photos, ...), in detail it is possible:  view and edit files: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, DOCXF, OFORM, view only: ODT, ODS, ODP, DOC, XLS, PPT, TXT, PDF, convert to Office Open XML files: ODT, ODS, ODP, DOC, XLS, PPT, TXT, CSV, view and edit text files, it is also possible collaborative editing of Etherpad note files in real time, view the online/offline status of note users, adopt individual content colors for each note user, receive notifications if users have modified a note, create and manage your own links in the section dedicated to the link list of your spaces, create and manage tasks, activities, upload and share any type of file, including compressed archives (zip folders) according to the specifications available by clicking here "Technical specifications".  You can insert external web pages into your spaces, viewable via iframe, or create your own web pages via templates or via MarkDown. By installing the "Custom Pages" application, the relevant item will appear in the space settings menu. For this specific function, it is absolutely forbidden to leave scroll bars visible in the iframe or in the web page opened in your space. The scroller function can remain enabled or disabled at the discretion of the author, and scroll bars must be set to not visible. For more information, read the instructions in the subsection "Technical Specifications" of the paragraph "Abstract", section "Scrooge.social", or simply by clicking here. In extreme circumstances, if unavoidable, it is acceptable to insert only the horizontal scroll bar, within the limit of an iframe or a web page displayed in your social space. Through this function (insertion of iFrame content and web pages) it is possible to apply web3 integration in your social spaces, inserting dApps and any content that complies with our behavioral rules. This same sApp application allows you to set a personalized web page as the home of your social space, for example, by inserting it into the social space via iframe and setting it as home via the "setting, advanced" item in the space settings menu . With this system you can also create a home page for non-members and a home page for members.   You can insert events into the calendar, set reminders, organize events by sections, upload events from external calendars and much more, in fact all profiles include, among the many social Apps (sApp modules) available in web spaces, the sApp "Web Feed" module, which allows the retrieval and creation of automatic posts from RSS or Atom feed links. You can also retrieve information directly from websites that provide your favorite content (functionality operational with most enabled sites). The Social Scroge protocol has implemented and will develop in the future to enrich the experience of using scrooge.social, increase the experience of public conversation. The sApp (social App scrooge) functions illustrated here are accessible from the post area in any scrooge space in which they are installed from the list available in setting>modules for "social spaces" and in edit>modules for the "space account". Using the scrooge security functions it is always possible to set the usage privileges. Not all sApps are available, in the modules list for all subscriptions, some are available for the free subscription (users group), others for the business and premium subscriptions pay (business group, premium group).   Classification system with Topics and Tags Scrooge adopts a system of classification and selection of contents and spaces (social spaces and my profile) through topics and tags. Posts can be assigned one or more topics either from the predefined ones of scrooge, or by defining new ones for your spaces (social spaces and my profile). The predefined topics are also accessible from the home (dashboard), while those defined by users only from their spaces (social space, my profile) and allow the rapid selection of the type of content to access through the "Filter" function of scrooge available from any location (home, spaces). Like contents, spaces (social spaces and my profile) can also be classified based on the topics covered, by assigning them tags. For the latter there is no predefined category and they are completely free to be defined by the user. Content selection via the Scrooge filter function has several options: Content Type, Author, Topic, Sorting (Created Time, Last Updated), From and To Date, I'm Involved, Created by Me, With Attachments, Archived, Hidden, Bookmark Selecting spaces (social spaces and users: user space) by tag can be done with the Scrooge search, for example by simply typing "crypto" in the search field, or by selecting the tag from the spaces or people box, if present.   Search with scrooge Social scrooge is equipped with an advanced external Ai search system, and a sophisticated internal search engine with results grouping by sections, that is, it queries all areas of the social network, existing and future when operational (for example: social space, user space, messages, feed content, ...). See also Scrooge Ai.     Innovation The innovation of the Scrooge social network is the blockchain interaction it offers to users (the first social network to do so), both in terms of use and web3 applications, and in terms of integrating their applications in web3 within their social spaces, using the "Custom Pages" application (module). It detects the possibility of searching for users by the crypto wallet address of any blockchain. All users can also enter their crypto wallet addresses to be found by wallet. Note: The social application, sApp OnlyOffice (Office), is reserved for the premium group (premium subscription) which includes the blue checkmark and other additional features. The premium account will be available for purchase by all users of the scrooge.social social network via the Scrooge WTF token ($SCROOGE) or Fiat (debit card). File uploads are processed via antivirus scans.
What is the best way to use scrooge? The Scrooge social network (scrooge.social) is compatible with all browser types, including mobile ones, however we strongly recommend installing our app for desktop use. The apps of the Social Scrooge protocol are automatically detected by the browser, as they are apps with a high level of IT security, simply connect to the scrooge.social site. Here is an example:   Although it can be used on mobile devices (iPhone) via beowser, Social Scrooge strongly recommends installing the mobile App on your iPhone to improve the experience of public communication with scrooge.social (Social scrooge social token protocol). The Social Scrooge protocol apps do not have to be downloaded from an app store, just open the scrooge.social website, then open the configuration menu of your browser (for example on Chrome, by clicking on the three vertical dots at the top right) and click on "add to home screen", a small pop up window will automatically appear (usually at the bottom) asking you whether to install the Scrooge mobile App or just create a shortcut on the iPhone desktop (link for browser). We strongly recommend installing the App rather than creating a shortcut on your desktop to enhance the experience of using the Scrooge social network.     The Social Scrooge protocol apps not only improve the experience of using the scrooge social network, they are extremely secure and designed for low computational demand, so as to be almost transparent compared to the ordinary workload of your devices. Uncel Scrooge Protocol apps are compatible with most operating systems, including Linux, Unbutu, Android, Mac OS as well as Windows, in all versions. In iOS systems, the Social Scrooge protocol is optimized to work in the browser without the need to install apps and without, for this reason, giving up a better user experience and a high level of cyber security, however in system iOS mobile for iPad devices we provide the App with automatic recognition or manual download as illustrated above. Team Social Scrooge recommends using the Chrome browser, of Google, although compatibility is guaranteed with all existing updated browsers.   Get started now, Social scrooge is waiting for you on scrooge.social Install Social Scrooge Protocol Apps, the sooner you do it, the better your Social Scrooge Protocol experience will be.
