Deleting your information
You have the right to request that we delete your information, if there are valid reasons and in accordance with applicable laws.
Additionally, here are some things you can do to delete your information:
- Find and delete specific information using the deletion controls provided. For certain specific information that you can see in our services, we offer tools that you can use to request deletion. For example, you can use the “Delete” buttons, found in the Dropdown menu of each content type, to delete content that you have published on scrooge in all areas (user space or account, social space). Additionally, you can use tools such as Archive, on social scrooge, accessible from the same Dropdown menu, to reduce the visibility of published content, moving it from the stream to the archive (however still accessible via the “scrooge filter” tool), or, you can make it private to limit visibility only to members and friends (social space, account or user space). When you delete content, in addition to no longer being visible, it will not be deleted from the scrooge platform and will no longer be recoverable.
- Permanent deletion of your account. If you delete your account on Scrooge, we will delete your information, including the content you have published, in any area (social spaces, user spaces or accounts), unless it is necessary to retain this information, as explained below.
Once your account is permanently deleted, you will not be able to reactivate it or recover the information you had added, including the content you published. Deleting your account or your content in scrooge is very fast, also assuming that they become immediately non-visible, unlike removal from backup and disaster recovery systems which may require a further period, no more than 15 days.
