Behavioral rules

The purpose of the Social Scrooge Protocol is to serve the public conversation via the Scrooge social network (community). Violence, harassment and other similar behaviors limit (in some cases eliminate) people's expressive capacity as well as reducing (in some cases completely canceling) the value of a conversation. Social Scrooge adopts rules to ensure free and safe participation in public conversation for all.

Safety

Verbal violence: It is not allowed to threaten, incite, praise or express the desire to resort to violence or harm. Find out more.

Violent and Hateful Entities: You may not be affiliated with or promote the activities of violent and hateful entities.

Child Sexual Exploitation: The Social Scrooge Protocol has a zero-tolerance policy regarding child sexual exploitation.

Abuse/harassment: You may not share offensive content, engage in targeted harassment of anyone, or incite others to do so.

Hateful Conduct: You may not attack others based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious belief, age, disability, or serious illness.

Violent Attackers: We will remove any accounts maintained by individual perpetrators of terrorist, violent extremist, or mass violent attacks, and may also remove posts that disseminate posters or other content produced by perpetrators of such attacks.

Suicide: You may not promote or encourage suicide or self-harm.

Sensitive Media: You may not post excessively gory media or share violent or adult content in live videos or profile header images. Additionally, media that shows sexual violence and/or assault is not permitted. Find out more.

Illegal or regulated goods or services: You may not use our services for illegal purposes or to support illegal activities. This includes selling, buying or facilitating trade in illicit goods or services and certain types of regulated goods or services.

Privacy

Private Information: You may not publish or post other people's private information (such as your phone number and home address) without their express permission. You are also prohibited from threatening to disclose private information or encouraging others to do so.

Non-consensual nudity: You may not post or share intimate photos or videos of someone that are taken or distributed without their consent.

Compromised Account: You may not use or attempt to use any credentials, passwords, tokens, keys, cookies, or other data to connect to or access, add, delete, or modify private information or features of any Scrooge Account other than yours (or those for which you have received direct authorization from Social Scrooge teams, OAuth authorization or similar mechanisms).

Authenticity

Platform Manipulation and Spam: You may not use the Scrooge Services in a manner that artificially amplifies or eliminates information, or engages in behavior that manipulates or disrupts people's experience of socia.scrooge.

Civic Integrity: you may not use Scrooge's services to manipulate or interfere with elections or other civic processes. This includes posting or sharing content that may prevent participation or mislead people about when, where or how to participate in a civic process.

Misleading and Deceptive Identities: You may not impersonate any individual, group, or organization to mislead, confuse, or deceive others, or use a false identity in a manner that disrupts other users' experience of Scrooge. Find out more.

Artificial and Manipulated Media: You may not deceptively share artificial or manipulated media that may cause harm. Additionally, we may flag posts that contain artificial and manipulated media to help users recognize their authenticity and to provide additional information.

Copyright and Trademarks: You may not violate the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights and trademarks.
